Staff and Crew Positions on “ER”

To give an idea of how many off-camera people are needed for a TV series, here is a staff and crew list for “ER.” If the position listed has more than one person filling it, the number of people listed is given in parenthesis. This list is just the people who work regularly for “ER.” Notice that there are no directors listed as they are often brought in as freelancers. In addition, freelancers are often used to supplement other crew positions, and outside companies are used for prosthetics, camera rental, casting of extras, and the like. To learn about many of these positions, watch other DVDs in the Journeys Below the Line series.
